BioWelcome to Emma's journal (formerly known as emmaspcreview), where I like to ramble a lot. Mostly about whatever tv shows or movies I've been watching or sometimes whatever's going on in my life. This journal is semi-friends only, in that anything personal is friends-locked but all things pop-culture are not.
I moved to Manhattan in September thanks to my mum's ex-husband offering me the use of his spare room, which is fabulous. And I'm working at Borders, which I love, and making loads of friends which is pretty much the awesome. And I'm very single, which would be cooler if I was at least getting some somewhere.
I have big television love, like woah and the writer's strike is kicking my ass. My hiatusing shows currently include Chuck, Heroes, House, Bones, Pushing Daisies, Ugly Betty and Grey's Anatomy. Mid-seasonly I'll be watching Lost, Torchwood, Project Runway and Top Chef, and potentially the Terminator show and New Amsterdam, if they're any good. And I'm desperately looking forward to Doctor Who and Ashes to Ashes. My favourite dead shows include Buffy and all its verse, Firefly, Life on Mars, Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls and Veronica Mars.
I love love love going to the movies, but I tend to not have the attention span to sit and watch a movie by myself at home. It has been going better though since I now have a television with a DVD player in my room and Netflix. I read a lot, but less since the bookstore I worked at closed in January. My favourite things to read are trashy romance novels (it's true) and comic books/graphic novels, especially Runaways, Astonishing X-Men, Exiles, Buffy Season 8, Y: the Last Man and Fables. And yeah, I've started collecting comic books. So far I've got all the issues of Buffy Season 8 in two covers. Yeah.
